Belgium

I'm back and I don't have the words to say what an incredible experience it was.
My trip there started very lousy, I had a flat tire on my car on tuesday evening and I came back home. On wednesday I put new tire on my car and got back on the road again. And it all went well. Maja and me slept in car for one night and on thursday we arrived to Belgium. It was quite cold there, but I was very happy. On thursday I was on seminar with two dogs, with my crazy Graa and even more crazy little Boom. My "instructor" for Gra was Marc van Beeck and HE was great. I can only say, that he immediately realised our problems, and was trying to help us in my handling. He liked Gra a lot. I already knew that she is a great dog, and he just made me stronger in my oppinion. And for now I have plenty of ideas how to make our performances better. Almost everything he touhgt us, was new for us, but it's working. We just need training in that direction. Boom was in group at a czech instructor - Eva Lačnakova and I got so many ideas for improving my handling from her and also great training tips for handlers mainly.
On friday we took a little trip to Antwerpen, bought a little slovenian flag, and some souvenirs.
On saturday we started with competition. It was held on football gorund, there were 5 rings, and I sure had a lot of work. At first I started with Boom on jumping course - and he did a great job, we had one refusal, but still had a second best time. And then I was running with my other dogs. I'm very proud and happy about Gra's jumping - we ended on 5th place (out of 120) and I think this is a very good result for us.
On the first day I qualified to final run with my little Eni. She was doing a really good job there, and I was very pleased with her performance. In final run (on sunday), which is basically knock-out, she was doing very good, but I wasn't - unfortunatelly I have forgotten to tell her the command for short jump, and she made a big turn, which costed us a final run.
There were some zwergpinschers running, and a lady from Netherlands liked my guys and girls, so she is very interested about next litter.
Unfortunatelly I don't have any videos of my runnings, because it was very hard to follow me on all these rings.
It really was a great experience and I'm looking forward for next year. Because for sure, I'm going there.

Holidays

Portorož is behind us, and I think I did a good job there. Still I have some work to do, but it will be done, till the end of next weekend. I have seen one croatian sheepdog, a bitch, 8 months young and she is very nice. I love her character, although she was too calm for my kind of dog. Everybody already knows, that I prefer energetic dogs. I don't have any videos from Portorož, I was too tired to do anything else.
Tomorrow me, Maja and my precious dogs, are leaving to Belgium. And I still can't believe it. Two weeks ago, it seemd so far far away, and now it's so close. I think I won't be sleeping much tonight. I'm so excited about it. I'm going there for some seminars, competitions and even some holiday (only two days, but it's better than nothing). There is so many km in front of us, but I'm looking forward to this trip. So I'll make some photos of Belgium, try to make some videos of tricks, some videos of competition .....
Wish me luck, and I know it'll help me lot.

Portorož

Today I'm leaving to Portorose, for a weekend. It will be working weekend, but I hope we'll have great fun on the seaside. Maja and all the dogs are coming with us as well. And we're taking TAROK cards with us. Weather report is not so good, but at least it won't be very hot. I hope we'll have some time to make a video from this trip.. So see you all on Monday.

Raily obedience

On Sunday I was on the competition. And again I was competing in RO-I class. I was very happy with my handling and even more with Gra's work. She was very happy, and focused, and I really enjoyed. I got the impression that she had fun for the first time (on the competition). And for the first time, she wasn't confused, due to signs on the way. You can see our work below.

Work, work and more work

In these days we are really busy. I have started working a job, which suits me and I like it a lot. I hope I will work there more often and get more opportunities to prove myself.
I'm starting with puppy school on Monday. And I have interesting breeds in my class - there will be a chinese crested dog - hairless, staffordshire bullterrier, one english cocker spaniel, a zwergpinschre, and I hope 2 more staffordshire bullterriers. We'll have much fun, so if you want to join us, you send me an e-mail to kdbarje@volja.net . We'll learn some of basic stuff, and a lot of tricks. I'll keep you informed trough my lessons, what we are doing, and I hope I'll be able to made some videos. But all of this later.
I'm getting closer and closer to Belgium, and for now it looks very promising. Keep your fingers crossed for me and my trip there.
